With the onset of monsoon, there has been an increase in the number of snake spotting. Today, a snake was rescued by Wildlife and Street Animal Rescue Society (WSARS) after it made itself comfortable on a bike parked at Fateh Sagar.
Padam Singh, member of Wildlife and Street Animal Rescue Society said that he rushed to the spot with his team comprising Arvind Singh, Mahendra and Govind. On reaching the spot, they found the snake comfortably settled on the bike.
WSARS team first got the people a bit far away and carried out the reptile rescue operation. The snake rescued was a Rat Snake and was not of the poison carrying breed.
Padam Singh said that continuous rains is causing the reptiles to come out of their holes. People need to be careful about their presence and need to call WSARS helpline as soon as they spot any reptile. The helpline numbers are 9829597722,9414234826.
