An over speeding car ran into a woman selling vegetables in Dewali area. The car dragged the vendor’s cabin along with the vendor to a distance of 20 feet.
This morning at 9:30 a.m., a car at a very high speed ran into a vegetable cabin dragging the vendor lady upto 20 feet at Dewali. The woman died on the spot whereas one man is severely injured. Every morning these vegetable vendors put up their stalls near Dewali bridge. Today also they were following the same routine when this speeding car hit one of the cabins.
The speed of the car was so high that the victim died on the spot and another injured has been rushed to the hospital and is reportedly serious. After the incident, the driver tried to speed away from the spot but one of the wheel hit against a huge stone causing damage to the car. Angry mob followed the car and brought it to a halt. The driver was bashed up by the mob and later arrested by Ambamata police. Investigations have begun in this matter. The car driver is said to be under the effect of high intoxication.
