Pact signed to assess copper, gold reserves in Udaipur

State Department of Mines, Rajasthan inked a tripartite agreement with National Mineral Exploration Limited and Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited for exploring seven blocks of gold and copper reserves in Udaipur.

The pact was signed by D S Maru, State director of mines and geology, Yogeshan Sharma – general manager of MECL and M Koshy John, deputy director general of NMET. The pact was signed in presence of Aparna Arora,  Principal Secretary (mines) of state government.

The agreement also entails evaluation of two blocks (base metal and silver) in Bhilwara and one block (iron ore) in Jhunjhunu.

Post detailed exploration, mines will be auctioned for extraction.
