Eleven child artist from Kathak Ashram, Udaipur won the first place while presenting Kathak on an International Platform during the 6th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts in Colombo, Srilanka.
The event was organised under the banner of Global Council of Art and Culture by All India Cultural Centre Pune in Association with UNESCO.
Chandrakala Choudhary, Director of Kathak Ashram informed that the children who performed Kathak in the programme included: Shriya Mehta, Arunima Surana, Himadree Singh, Mahek Patel, Shubangi Jain, Gargi Mathur, Kimaya Somani, Vanshika Pitliya, Katayani Pandit, Mridushi Devpura, Anaya Sarupriya, Jagrit Chaturvedi and Sabnam Chaturvedi.
The children won gold medal in the competition that had 620 participants.
