Gulab Chand Kataria, Home Minister of Rajasthan launched the second revised edition of book Essentials of Road Safety authored by Ashwini Bagga and. Nisha Bagga of Muskaan foundation for road safety, Udaipur. The book has been published by Himanshu Publications, Udaipur.
New chapters have been introduced in the revised edition and each chapter has been accompanied with activities that children can exercise in school with the help of teachers. The book has been especially designed for children studying in class 6th to 9th and it is equally beneficial for teachers and parents as well.
The book was launched during a programme organized under the state wide road safety awareness campaign initiated by the Transport Department, Govt. of Rajasthan.
The campaign will be observed from 28th September 2015 to 2nd October 2015 in the entire state including urban and rural areas. The program held in Udaipur Municipal Corporation premises, Town Hall. Member of Parliament Arjun Lal Meena, District Collector Rohit Gupta, ADM (City) O.P. Bunkar, Mayor Chander Singh Kothari, RTO Udaipur Mannalal Rawat and children from various schools and colleges of Udaipur also graced the occasion.
